Pulau Blakang Mati
First of all, i'd like to wish u guys a Happy Chinese New Year. Yea.. It doesn't matter whether you're Chinese, Indian or Malay. The fact of the matter is that you guys are having 2 days off from school or for some, including myself, 2 freaking days off from work!! Yay! Haha..
Alrite. So the family (inclusive of mum, Zul, Aidah and myself) went to Sentosa yesterday to celebrate the festive season. Well, it's more like celebrating our days off from our normal busy life, i guess.. Haha. We planned it all and went with Wak Lala and family. Man, we carried huge bags! Wahaha. As if we'd planned to go away for good.. Hehx. But one thing i love about the bags was that, they contained FOOD.. Yupz. About 3 damn bags full of nuts, nasi lemak, fried kuey teow, sweets, sate, yada-yada... God, i can just go on and on and on about the food section. Haha.. So, as u can see, we brought along lots of jolly-good food. That's when i thought to myself that i'm gonna damn-well enjoy myself that day, since i was carrying the biggest bag amongst them all. Heehee...
And the trip to get to Sentosa... Whoa.. Only God knows about it. The trains were freakin' crowded, man! It's like we need to push others for survival or sumthin! Wahaha... Almost an hour later, we reached Vivocity. Gotta take the express train to Sentosa. It's new, i guess.. And yea, the queue to the ticket booth was so long that i thought i was lining up for American Idol or sumthin.. Hehx. Seriously. People of different races queuing to get tickets. Singaporeans and foreigners altogether. Felt as if the whole level 3's gonna collapse in a couple of hours.. Whoa..
Reached there at about 1 plus. And the first thing we went looking for when we reached Imbiah Lookout was a spot for us to eat.. The whole trip sure made us hungry sia.. Hmm, did i mention that it was the Flower Season or sumthin like that... Well it was! Not that i love flowers or what, but the flowers there were unimaginable! My mum was already like, "Wah!! Cantiknye.." And She repeated that don't know how many umpteen times.. Really. It was almost like that scene in Alice in Wonderland.. Bright beautiful flowers. Wow.
Spent almost 2 hours at the flower place. Then we walked and walked and finally headed to Fort Siloso. Hehehe.. The tour guide lady was.. well.. nice. Eherm. Anyways. I love that place. Although it kinda creeped me out with all those wax figurines. But the war equipment there was awesome! Love the canons and rifles and huge canons.. And yea, the underground passageways were great. Hey, wanna know something? Well, my mum kinda took a couple of pictures at the underground chambers.. AND.. they turned out to be damaged when we previewed them again later on.. Freaky huh? The stories i heard was true, i think.. Ooooohh..
A couple of hours later, we planned to watch the musical fountains. It was indeed "musical". When we reached that place, suddenly, there's a thunder. And i bet you know what happened next... Rain.
Wahaha.. Too bad. We only managed to watch the 5 plus slot. But even though it rained heavily, there sure were audiences. We've got lots and lots of Banglas, and other families too, all drenched up standing under trees as well as in the open. Musical fountain was really a blast.. i think.
Due to the rain, we couldn't possibly go anywhere else. So we headed back to Singapore and spent some time at Vivocity 3rd level. The girls played with the water, the mums talked and the boys chilled. (well, that's what we're best at. hehx)
To cut the story short, we had one hell of a day. Nice. Hectic, but nice. Be looking forward to another outing i suppose.. Hehx. Chow.
