When The Lights Go Out

The lights went off
The night's aphotic.
The air so silent,
No sound from 'them'.
The kids ran off
To buy narcotics.
The parents too busy
To give a damn.

You just never know what would happen around you during a massive blackout. Heh. Well, it's been the 3rd time now this week. Pitch-black in the middle of the night outside the house. The lights down the corridors just went off suddenly. And there seemed to be a lot of hoo-ha going on whenever it happened. Dogs barking, babies crying, crickets cricketing, aunties gossiping.. The weird thing was, only the corridors in our flat were affected. Our household electricity was completely alright. Hell, I was still chatting on msn when it happened. Heh. Weird. Hmm.. Let's just leave it to the PUB. Cheers.
